Standard Consultation Fees

Individual:

  • Initial assessment: $355 (Medicare rebate $131.65: out of pocket $223.35)
  • Subsequent Session: $325 (Medicare rebate $131.65: out of pocket $193.35)
  • Assessment for Medical Interventions for Gender Alignment: $375 initial session, $325 for subsequent sessions

Couple: $355 (Out of Pocket $223.35)

We will securely hold your credit card or debit card details. Your account will be processed with Medicare rebate on the following business day after your appointment. I do not take Amex. Consultations are 50 minutes, but may be shorter or longer on the day. GST is not payable on standard consultations.

You will receive $131.65 Medicare rebate with a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan or psychiatrist referral for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. See Australian Psychological Society fact sheet about Medicare rebates. Alternatively you can claim on your private health insurance.

If you have met your Medicare threshold you receive 80% refund of your fee, for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.

Cancellations

When you make an appointment I commit my time to be available for you. Unlike most other professional services, cancellations made within a day or two usually cannot be filled.

If you do need to reschedule or cancel your appointment please provide at least 48 business hours notice. Other clients may be on a waiting list, thus more notice is better.

Changes to appointments with less than 48 business hours notice will incur a charge of $200, payable at the next session.

The cancellation fee is required to reduce the pressure to increase the standard consultation fee in order to compensate for missed appointments.

Last minute cancellations may be due to increasing levels of anxiety as your session approaches, indicating a behavioural pattern of avoidance. If you think this applies to you, please bring it up at the following session as this is a valuable opportunity to learn about yourself.

Those who have 3 cancelations within a 48 hour time frame, will be required to pay the full fee for ongoing cancelations.
